Do you have pain that keeps coming back, no matter what you’ve already tried? I treat both acute and chronic complaints, including long-standing issues that have lasted ten, twenty or thirty years, or that you’ve been told there’s nothing more to be done about. That’s never a reason for me not to look at what’s still possible.
With pain, tension and radiating complaints, I don’t only look at the spot where you feel it. I also examine where the complaint comes from and what keeps it in place. The basis of treatment is acupuncture, complemented where needed with guasha, cupping, moxa or massage. For stubborn complaints, I also use BBRS Parallel Acupuncture and ECIWO, techniques not every acupuncturist applies.
Many clients notice a difference during or shortly after the first treatment, though this depends on the complaint and how long it has been present. Body, lifestyle and environment constantly influence one another, and I take that into account in both diagnosis and treatment — so I work not only on today’s complaint, but also on your body’s long-term capacity to heal itself.
Pain complaints
Long-standing lower back pain that’s stiff in the morning and stays all day, neck and shoulder pain, or any pain that keeps returning no matter what you’ve tried.
Radiating complaints
Pain that doesn’t stay in one place but radiates into your leg or arm. Tingling, numbness or a burning sensation that travels beyond where it started. Complaints that resemble sciatica, or the feeling of a trapped nerve.
Tension complaints
Tension headaches that build up during the day, a neck and shoulders that feel permanently tight, muscles that won’t release even after a good night’s sleep, often combined with chronic stress.
